Computer based fool proofing system at the production line, to identify the catalyst in the smoke outlet of the 4 wheeler vehicles. There are two combinations of catalysts placed in the smoke outlet (Two main catalysts or 1 dummy & 1 main catalyst). The vision system has two cameras, which pointing towards catalysts and takes the image, then refers the required catalyst combination from the system. If the combination is correct, the user can weld the cover over catalyst. Patter matching method is used to identify the correct catalyst
Product assembly line having no of computers, which assembles and tests the product at different stages. Each stage of assembly is monitored and controlled by single computer and automated software, by tracking the serial no (bar code) of product. Product is accessible in the next stage only if the same product passed the previous stage. Oracle Database is used to update the status of the product at each stage. The all test passed product will be available for packing along with labeling. Part number marking on product, label printing for packing, product-performance testing, product-final inspection all are automated using Lab VIEW software.
Each part manufactured will be given specific identification and this identification is used to link the part with its performance. All the performance test data of the component is recorded in the Oracle server to track the component’s performance and completion date and time. The same data will be used to generate report for the production quantity for a day/week.
The Computerized Automated Test Rig tests the Clutch Performance at R&D Lab, The speed at the input side of clutch is controlled using the software, and the clutch released at a specified rate, then the speed at the output of clutch is monitored along with torque developed and power at output. LabVIEW 8.0. is used for control and Data acquisition. The Various Parameters measured from the test are Applied Load, Torque, Speed, Temperature and efficiency.
